Working to building control regs

Morning all, due to an extra lockdown child I'm converting ½ my attached garage into a bedroom for the oldest one. The work will comprise of one stud wall to split the garage, raising the floor 100mm and boarding the existing brick and block walls, 2 of which are internal. Does anyone know what the minimum level of thermal and acoustic insulation the building inspector will want to see, and will they just need the stud wall doing? I've emailed them, but not heard anything back

Sorry to jump in on and trample all over this thread.

Do we have any building regs experts on here whom I can blag some advice from too?

Downstairs unit is a restaurant / bar with a cellar, 1st floor is a domestic flat.

I am looking at sticking an extra mansard / floor on top.  Planning is a year away and I am currently stripping out the restaurant and flat and adding stuff to the refurb plan is easy.

I need to know where to look / who to ask about fire regs in the restaurant and what is needed to allow the mansard to proceed. Indeed, putting in a sprinkler system is an option.

Apologies again for the trampling
