For every 100,000 arrivals, by whichever route, living at the same household density as the current population, would require one house to be built every 12 minutes for a year. That's about 125 every day. Net immigration is down to about 250,000 per year, so that's over 300 per day we need to build just for immigration let alone our own domestic demand.

This is one part of the supply and demand issue, the current imbalance of demand does the majority no favours. If it were ever possible, the scale of supply would do no favours for the environment or the quality of life for the majority, of course for those wealthy enough to buy their space it's less of an issue.

Houses are going up in Cumbria like there’s no tomorrow. Developers can’t get them up fast enough and anyone in the building/groundwork’s business is raking it in.

Penrith is heaving with Eastern Europeans currently; and there are more Polish shops and Turkish barbers   ( with an award winning Greek takeaway ) than you can shake a stick at! 🙂

On one of the tv channels, I saw an Asian  looking man clutching a very white looking toddler getting off one of the boats last week.Probably picked up on route to make his right to stay easier. I really hope we are to be allowed mouth swab DNA tests otherwise there will be infants missing along all the port routes. It has to be so obvious that we are importing an unofficial army.
