Squirrel damage

Just thought I would post this as found it interesting to find such damage in a low population area, just goes to show, sometimes they just strip for the fun of it!!

Typical example of squirrel damage, control the greys to assist the Reds but natural regeneration of native trees needs protecting too.

Spot on! Reds are important but throughout the UK trees are being mutilated and killed.

I took these photos in Kent last month when I delivered a British Red Squirrel- Grey Squirrel Management training course to the Kentish Cobnut Association, where their Cobnut crops are being devastated by Greys.
This is an English Oak tree, probably 20-30 years old ago was on the edge of a Cobnut Plat.
