I’ve actually got red hymax

The new maximums are 38g 3s

The hymax I’ve got are red, and my remaining old maximums are black.

Only for the entire second half of the 20th century.

32 gram load, if I remember correctly, or was that Alphamax 16’s?

Hymax and Alphamax both loaded throughout 70's and 80's but Maximum were 30 gram in 16. Got loads of boxes of 10's loaded for foreign markets as shot sizes in mm but they did load for UK market in boxes of 25 also, literally impossible to find, been looking for 20+ years and only ever seen one box.

I remember buying one box of maximum 6 in a box of 25  early60s .from stensbys the gunmaker .In them days I had to make cartridges last . Next time I went in they had gone . About the same time the keeper at Worsley used a 16 he used Alphamax 4 .

Eley Maximums were definitely made in 7's in the late eightys early ninetys.....orange cases, them and winchester western 6's were the cartridge of choice

They surely did lad.. The Winchester western 32g was a mighty cartridge.  And for real wary ducks ya had Winchester super speed 36g in a 4 ,5, or 6.. for foxes super speed o's they'ed knock elephants!!.  And the paper top alphamax  BB's..none of the above can be now😞
