Yes, although I usually proclaim Lylevale 410s as a good cartridge...I have just tried a slab of their new 3 inch and had no problem.... this concerns me.

I used a few of their newish 3 inch last season and they performed very well.  I mau have a back door access, no names no pack drill, let me have a word.

Feel free to mention it to your friend

you could add that ignoring the problem won’t help with the safety of the product or the confidence of the customer

£100 a slab for a premium cartridge appreciate I’m not a big customer only a end product user that shoots 200 cartridges a

Just out of interest , what shotgun and do you have a second 410 to see if that gives the same result.

week but a customer

a browning crown a English side by side and a beretta 687

I’ve had the same result with all 3 guns

And a borrowed 525

iv explorer a fair few avenues

to be honest it shouldn’t happen in any gun

It annoys me intensely when manufacturers ignore emails ,I have just contacted Eley with a question on ther eco steel ,I have just bought a slab and need an answer ,no reply a week later .

And me

ignoring the message/ problem doesn't fix it in reality it compound’s it

hopefully you get a response soon 👍

Luckily my issue isn’t a safety one, I bought a slab of there hunting eco steel but on opening the outer packaging discover only boxes labelled  steel clay cartridges ,they all have an additional sticker which says they are 4 shot 24 grams (20 gauge) and having opened one I am sure that all is well .

I am splitting them with a mate so I just wanted confirmation through the manufacturer and the batch number so as to keep him happy..

I will try phoning.

Unfortunately it is not just cartridge manufacturers. I'm shelling out close to ten grand on a Quadzilla UTV and get no response from them whatsoever. Fortunately the agent got it sorted.  Then you come across superb response...Stokes Sauces, lovely lady sorted my problem for me in minutes, a breath of fresh air/.  Mind , say Goodmorning to someone these days and they look at you with a blank stare..... I suppose there isn't an app for a reply.

One might reasonably hope a professional metal worker might make one!

As a retired toolmaker, I certainly have the ability to make such things, but no longer have access to the machinery to do so.
To have one made by such methods the cost in time would be out of all proportion to the item, unfortunately.

Yes I accept that, my comment was aimed at OF, I do not have a .410" so have no need for a custom "bespoke" extractor.

There hard to find and very expensive do you know of a good one 🤔

maybe express will give a free one with every 1000 cartridges 😂

I shall keep looking.  :cool1:

That might be a good way for Express to come out of this situation with some degree of merit!  :good:

Useless after you've pilled the head off🤣

Behave yourself.  Where would you find one of those on the Isle of Wight?  😁.

Well our friend is a metal worker but slightly different. He could probably make a few for the Ukrainians and their 155mm howitzers.

What has happened to the open end of the three cases from the left??? The cases look very waxy, like a candle.

I really hope Lyalvale Express take this matter seriously and make every effort to sort it out by recalling all of that batch.

I hope so to 😡

I hope they are reading the thread!!

don’t hold back on your comments gent’s it doesn’t matter if they aren’t reading it and if they are then hopefully they will resolve this safety issue 👍

More and more it's looking like the powder load is too much and the powder burning speed is too slow.

Something has definitely gone wrong at manufacturers process.

Thank you for the very constructive response

I shall take one apart for you later

is there any way to identify the powder ?
