Cheap (very) spotting scopes

Recommended Posts

I fancy a spotting scope. No need though as it is really only to give me something to do on holiday in the Orkneys. Just how dire are the sub 100 quid things? Even I can spot the difference between my Swarovski glasses and some cheapo things. However multiple hudreds of quids isn't an option.

Are things like the Gosky's , Bressers tolerable?  More to keep me amused than identify detail and 3 miles.

Cheers

I'll just keep an eye out. There was one here somewhiloe back but I think it has gone. Might spend a hundred and would rather a battered better one but as I said, chances are it will be used for a week and then sit in the window to watch the farmers cattle a mile aay.
