steve_b_wales
I recently had to reset my computer to factory settings, which included Windows 8 (or 10?)I changed the screen from the attached photo, to the 'old style' which I much prefer. I can't remember how I did this, so does anyone know how? Thanks.
old'un
Hi Steve, try this.. 1. Right click the Start menu (bottom left hand) and select Run, 2. Type ms-settings:personalization-start and press Enter 3. Uncheck the option Use start full screen Another way of getting there is… right click the windows icon bottom left hand/settings/start then change ‘use start full screen’ to off Edited August 12, 2022 by old'un

243deer
I did this search in Google 'windows 10 switch to old style start menu' - lots of youtube options depending on what you have done

ShootingEgg
Looks more like win8 from that image, so is set up more like a touch screen tablet mode Try this Press the < Windows > key to access the Desktop view. Right-click on the task bar at the bottom of the screen and select Properties. Click the Navigation tab, then check the box next to Go to the desktop instead of Start when I sign in. Now, when I click on the Windows start button and then the 'all programs', they are shown in the panel, but not on the larger screen. My thanks to everyone who have offered their help etc
