Big mistake

Every now and then a pork pie seems the order of the day for a mid day bite,  into the local Coop where a nice lady assistant points me to the appropriate chill cabinet.    Nothing to be seen  except packs of 4 mini pies, really wanted a larger one but hey mini is better than zero, just the thing to accompany a freshly picked greenhouse tomato.  Brew made and seated cut the first victim in half did not look like  pork pie, took a bite and UGH.   Looked at the label on the packet Vegan Pies never bitten anything so tasteless texture well looked like sawdust and mist like the sweepings from  a butchers floor would be more appetising.  WARNING read the label, because something looks like the usual it may not be so.

I very nearly made the same mistake in my local Co-op.

Fortunately I spotted that the pies were grouped with other veggie stuff and rumbled that these weren't right.

A cool cabinet further along provided the right ones, and tasty they were too.

Hello, our pound shop now has chiller cabinets , most are well known brands , large pork pie £1

That is a good price, bought a medium pork pie at Morrisons today £1 :  65 and will do me two days and it is a really nice pie .

DO NOT shop at the Co-op they are seriously anti shooting.

Lack of choice I am afraid, or drive 8 miles  to said Morrisons.

We had some customers visit at work and we said we would provide a bit of lunch while meeting. They informed us one of the group was a vegan, therefore we had to order something special for him. When they turned up I guessed who the vegan was....... the scraggiest, pastiest looking induvial among them.  😂
