Hi all,

I’m going to a local gun shop to look at a 687 eell 20 bore with 28” barrels and fixed 1/4 and 1/2 chokes tomorrow.

there seems to be such a variation in price online how can I make sure it’s a fair deal?

thanks

Still got the Zoli?

Look at the prices on Guntrader and see what the bottom and top prices are. From a dealer it must be immaculate and original to command the top price. The lower prices are likely to be private sales so you must be cautious if you go down that route. From that point you must buy on condition alone. I would imagine you could buy one for £2.5k from a dealer but you might have to work hard. I repeat that it must be the original spec and not messed about with.

Beauty is also in the eye of the beholder. The wood may not be as EELL as other EELLs!

Fixed choke makes for a harder sell in the future also.

From your spec though, guntrader is starting at 2,800 and change. But, you've mentioned part-x, so make sure you have a value for your gun also! No point scraping home an excellent price if they give you chump change for the part-x.
