Well folks that's Nellie turned a year old, I've worked her only daytime on rabbits and she has done a bit of retrieving a few pheasants and pigeons to all of which she's took to with no problems. Her marking and following the action underground it great. I'm delighted with her, hopefully her nose improves a little bit more while working cover and reed beds but again all on all delighted with her progress. So yesterday on her first birthday she had a hard shift to which she ended tired but put plenty in the bag. Thanks for reading and the kind comments 👍

She's not been missing many recently. Hopefully another 2 outings with the ferrets and I'd like to give her a wee shine on the lamp, her retrieving is spot on live back to hand BUT sometimes she takes to trying to hid them in the reeds, only the odd 1 or 2, always into the really thick reeds then the next one straight into your hand like a well trained labrador. I know she's young and another summer on her back should see her right.
