The BBC packed him off not him packing it in... Didn't meet the age criteria...

A sad day and a great loss, he was a genuine and decent person

I understand he did a lot of good work for dog rescues and dog charities.  Reading the tributes being paid, he seems to have been a genuine and caring person.  His comedy didn't appeal to me, but there is no doubt he was good at what he did, generous and hard working.

I agree, if you ever saw him live you realised just what a class act he was.

He said Lilly was like another person. Even he had no idea what was 'she' was going to say next.

Most of his acts were unscripted.
