12gauge82
What gets me with this climate change issue, is no one is addressing the elephant in the room, the biggest problem isn't gas boilers, cars, industrial processes, farming, product consumption or any other process, it's not even all of them combined. The issue is far too many people on the planet, why is this never mentioned, or ideas on how to reduce it and the long term benefits of tackling migration from poor countries to richer ones, adding to the global population? Politician: more people = more votes. Business owner: more people = more customers. Academic: more suggestion of climate change = more jet-setting to attend international conferences. 12gauge82
The global population is predicted to reach 9.7 billion by 2050 and 10 billion by 2100. The largest rises are likely to be in poor countries which have bigger things to worry about than achieving net zero targets, it's blatantly obvious that the only way to tackle climate change is to vastly reduce population growth, but then I'm sure no one will stand up and tell the truth on a subject like that.
