nabbers
I bought a random selection of shooting gear at auction and this gem of a cartridge bag was amongst it. It's a little worn, but intact and a testament to the maker- anyone know who that is? My curiosity was drawn to the leather patch which seems original, not a repair on the lower right side of the front....whats that for then? Doesn't seem like a repair and can't think why it would be needed to protect against wear at that particular point? enfieldspares
Maybe there was on a string a ring extractor hanging there and the patch was to stop that wearing a hole in the canvas?

holloway
Maybe the leather on the bottom was replaced at one time along with a patch over a worn but not torn area as a precaution ,the leather looks to be of differing ages in places . London Best
It looks to me to be of Brady manufacture.

JohnfromUK
The old Brady I have has a 'makers tag' named Brady, and the Brady ones I have (and have seen) have broad heavy canvas shoulder straps with sewn on leather ends. My old Brady game bag also has a broad canvas shoulder strap. Edited September 18, 2023 by JohnfromUK
Nublue 22
Very nice, you could take the strap of and turn it around to put you own initials on.
London Best
I can’t help wondering who A.H.H. was, and what he shot and where?

It does make you wonder. My cartridge bag should have had GRR on it 🫣
