BASC’s Fighting Fund secures significant victory for member

Recommended Posts

A BASC member has been awarded costs of £4,000 after a successful appeal against revocation of his certificate by the police.

The appeal was financed by BASC's Fighting Fund, a ring-fenced reserve which enables us to fight the corner of members who have been victims of injustice.

Did the said member receive 100% of the awarded costs ? Not being sceptical, just curious.

And yes,,,, well done BASC 👍

No, not 100%. BASC covered all the costs from its Fighting Fund. It is an important outcome because Cost Orders in favour of the Appellant are uncommon and indicate how strong the case was. This win will not go unnoticed across the police forces and strengthens our position as an organisation that will seek justice and has the resolve and financial resource to follow through on that.

English Shooting has issued a video on this, and I've watched part of it. To be honest, I find this channel difficult to watch, as every 5-minute video seems to run for a couple of hours, but I don't doubt his good intentions and he does seem to do his homework, so some people may want to watch it . . .
