JohnfromUK
Good meal, pie, mash and veggies. I love my sprouts - but not yet had any this season. Still a few in the freezer, but they are never so good once they have been frozen.

I usually freeze my own as (living on my own), I often have more sprouts than I can eat fresh. If you eat 5 at a meal, there are a lot of plate fulls in a supermarket bag of sprouts! I trim the stems and outer layer, blanch for a few seconds in boiling water, then cool very quickly and freeze in (very lightly vacuumed) vac-pacs. Cook as normal after defrosting. They are OK, but the texture isn't quite right when they come out and I would put it that "they are better with gravy".
