Rang round a few places and all been struggling to get any fresh lug worm the last week. Giving winchelsea beach a go Monday morning 🤞🏻 Hello, Ok, Frozen lug ok if you put on hook when it is not quite thawed , a slither of mackerel should hold the lug on if on a one hook trace for bass etc, a 2 hook flatty trace just use lug as is, good luck, let us know how goes Edited August 31 by oldypigeonpopper

Picked an area with a nice gully so I could drop a bait in there as I made my way back with the tide as it came in . Started with the frozen lug . First bite was a bootlace eel followed by 3 more . Not my favourite fish to catch, but nice to see they are about still . Didn’t really want to catch any more of those so put half a joey mackerel on hoping for a bass but had nothing else . Had some company for a while this seal was hanging around.

Hello, Oh well done, what a nice surprise 👍, Those little eels can cause havoc with fishing lines , rarely see any caught in the Thames now
