I don't know of anybody that feed there dog(s) on Pigeon meat , that's not to say no body do as I am sure somebody give there dog the odd Pigeon breast now and again , our ole game keeper was a top dog man who trialled his dogs and I never heard him mention feeding any of dogs on Pigeons , he was a great devotee of feeding his dogs on raw tripe but we are straying off the op's question once again MM
Dougy Posted Saturday at 09:50 Report Share Posted Saturday at 09:50 I think they may be a tad rich. I would say OK in small quantities mixed with other stuff.
ditchman Posted Saturday at 12:31 Report Share Posted Saturday at 12:31 i used to boil my excess pigeons ..then let them cool and pull the meat off the bone and break it up and mix it with dry dog food (very low protien kibble) the dogs used to go MAAADDD for it ...they loved it
bruno22rf Posted Saturday at 18:54 Report Share Posted Saturday at 18:54 I cannot see a problem with a pigeon put through a mincer - could not be more natural as far as I can see, even some feathers are OK as they clean the gut.
TR1 Posted Sunday at 05:50 Author Report Share Posted Sunday at 05:50 Thanks for the replies. Seems using a little as a top up may be the answer. Will give it a try.

Krico woodcock Posted Monday at 09:53 Report Share Posted Monday at 09:53 I have given plenty of pigeon breasts to my springers, they go mad for them. Top class for a working dog, pure protein. But as said don't over do it with them. No need to mince. They just swallow a breast.
