Had a lovely conversation with a Hispanic Uber driver in Orlando today, marine vet of 24 years, and a very happy man to have Trump back in the WH.

Probably hoping his inlaws get deported. 🤣

Theres a few good t shirts in that shop, at 10 bucks a piece,  I'm going back for some🤣

Fun fact , the shop is owned and run by Muslims.

Rewulf,

has it got a 'Golden Coral' buffet attached to the shop?

I bet they had the stuffed Gator heads, my kids always want one when we go.

There was one a couple of hundred yards away, and no didn't see any gator heads !

Not sure what US customs would make of that 🤣

That is the reason we have never bought one, customs at Orlando airport must be full of them.

I have a gator head, bought in the Everglades in 1991.

Been on the glades myself, in a hoverboat gator watching, was a good few years back. Great experience.

We did that commercially in the Everglades, but much better was a private trip we were offered in the marshes near Cape Canaveral. We had to meet  somebody in the middle of nowhere, which took a bit of finding.
The guy turned out to be an (ex?) alligator poacher who had been to prison for it. That man certainly knew how and where to find gators. Big ones too! I am sure he took us several places we were not supposed to go.

Now that's my kind of trip. The world is full of nuggets like this you just have to look them out.

There is no option to pursue them for a sitting president. Shameful for any democracy let alone a so called leader of the free world.

But he still has 55 days to go before he is, so not sitting; if he was the ogre he is portrayed to be, surely they would continue, no?

According to US legal channel, I watch, the time is insufficient with appeal and delay tactics. The same for sentencing of the felony conviction. Trump has threatened the Special Council Jack Smith (with the resulting threats against his person and family) but It looks pretty clear that he would follow through on the law if it were possible.

Our trip was commercial, but had a private vibe. Was around 2010 i think.

We booked it via phone and the sat nav took three of us  (me, BIL, FIL) about an hour and a half from Orlando, right out in the sticks, we thought the satnav was wrong as it took us to the end of a dusty dirt road and into a trailer park. Continuing to follow the nav, we passed shanty shacks and beat up trailers. and suddenly we had arrived.

An old beat up shack, 'Captain Johns gator tours' or something like that. On entering the shack his son was sat with smallish live 2 foot long gator on his lap. He had a tank with a small one in and passed it around to us. Then his dad showed face, captain John. What a character, he had been a shark fisherman/trapper/prison time and we were in awe of the photos which adorned the old shack.

After greetings we got in the hover boat and no one else had booked, think the boat held about 8-12, so we had him to ourselves, out for about 4 hours and waht an experience. whizzing across the water and the shallow sandbanks, the gators, the eagles, fish. One of the most surprising thing was we must have been a mile out in the glade and came across a few hundred cows stood chest deep in the glade, they ate the lush green glade type grass that grows under the water. One of the oddest sights I have ever seen.

Your man sounds like he was a right character. What an adventure!

One of the biggest gators I ever saw was a stones throw from the public entrance of Cape Canaveral. We had olny gone  few hundred yards back along the thin causway and he was lying up on the bank of the thin drainge ditch which was no wider than about six foot.

I would often collect frogs and taddies from small ditchches as a kid, but would be wary in Florida.🐊
