Got this one so far, it definitely gets warm… imagine it would have been lovely last week when it was -10c in Scotland.

Not a huge fan of the fit and quality.

Waiting for the 2 NFC ones to arrive and compare.

The amazon heated socks I bought don’t even work as far as I can tell 🤣

Merino wool socks are good in cold weather

The NFC gilets have arrived.

Despite being the same size as the Amazon, it’s a much better fit.

Quality seems better, and the price isn’t massive difference between them.

Currently got the fleece type on, I’ll give the smooth one a go in a bit!

Is this the smooth one you are on about? Be interested to know how thick it is? Thinking of getting one but don't want it to be bulky under a smock? Cheers

Yea except got the ones in blue.

I prefer the fleece type myself so am sending that one back.

However they’re both similar thickness.

Both thicker than my Sealand one that’s not heated… I just wore the fleece one out walking the dogs under a shooting coat.

It’s just under 10c here and I had to turn it off as I was warm enough very quickly :) I doubt you need it for mild weather… just something to have on the back burner for very cold days … or like my trip to Scotland, it would have been very useful last week in -10c winds.

Can always buy one to try and if you don’t like it send it back with distance buying regs.

No I sent that one back yesterday.

The quality and fit of the New Forest one was better.

I ordered an XXL which I usually wear, although as some said it was a bit snug fit to the body, I assume that’s so the heating can work.

Under my shooting coat it was fine, and kept me very warm when used.

I see it’s only got 3 heat panels, will that be enough when it gets really cold?

Hello, I think the New Forest gear comes out better quality than my Deer Hunter so i may invest in a NF fleece in new year, What power bank did you get Lloyd ??

I bought the New Forest one, if you buy it now during the “Black Friday Sale” the fleece is £90 instead of £120, and their powder banks are £10 instead of £25/30.

I did however pick up 2x 24ah power banks off amazon on their Black Friday sale for £12 each also. They only just able to fit in the gilet battery pocket, slightly big but should do the job.

The heat it was giving off earlier I should think so.

My main concern was would I really use it. We never seem to get very cold weather down in Bristol, it’s not that frequent and when it does come doesn’t tend to be around for too long.

The occasional trip up North / shoot day I am hoping it will get used enough to justify it 🤞🏻.

I reckon they could be good for high seat shooting where you might be sat still for a few hours. The warm gear that we use is great when you are still but a nightmare as soon as you start moving about.

That is the only situation where I ever consider using my heater waistcoat, and it is so warm I have never yet needed to switch it on!
