Our taste buds are as different to chalk to cheese Simon and I know my tonight's tea will be vastly different to yours , but that is what make the world go round , for some reason I have never fancied any Indian food and I am sure you would get fed up with a lot of my meals that can and do look a little bit boring at times , but we do try and don't rely on take away's so we do have that situation in common .:drinks:

i do a nice stuffed marrow when i get hold of one....with plain mince and bread crumb english herbs.....

is that upyour street ?

For some strange reason, I don't think I have ever used courgettes in curry.  I suppose they are very mild themselves, so I have tended to do them in a 'sympathetically light flavoured' way ........... which probably explains why I don't much like them on account of them being rather dull and uninteresting!  Not very logical really.

I will have to try some in a curry.  I often use aubergines and very often (nearly always in a veg curry) use cauliflower ........ so why not courgettes?

if you ever use them put them in at the very last minit as they cook super fast.................they are what i call "a carrier" food...they are a mild vedge that needs a sauce /gravy/spice/herbs......

I can't say I have ever Marrow but the mince , bread crumbs and the herbs would go done well , possibly in a burger or in a pie .

We did have Pumpkin soup once for our shoots dinner , the pickers uppers were a bit late getting back so it was already cooling off , I had a bowl full but I ate my sandwiches first , time I started on the ( soup ) it had congealed and you needed a knife and fork instead of a spoon , in the end I used neither as it was horrible and only fit for the bin , word must have quickly got about as we have never had it since .  MM

Yes, I occasionally do them fried in garlic butter with a grating of Parmesan, but really only use them in ratatouille

one of my favourite foods (when i can get one ) is steamed marrow slices and mince and boiled tats...
