That's okay isn't it? We don't all have to agree all of the time and I think no less of anyone that has a different opinion to my own, providing they're respectful.

We should always bear in mind that most defence spending ends up in somebody's pay packet. Whether that somebody is a soldier or a worker in one of the industries that supports the armed  services. All those workers pay tax or spend their wages in the shops where it goes back to the government as vat. It just goes round and round in the economy. Cost to the nation is zero.

Cutting the defence budget doesn't save the government any money. It just puts people out of work but the state then still has to support them.
