amateur
5 minutes ago, JKD said: Looks very edible 😋 👍 It certainly was. And to top it all, for tea, my wife made us omelette, followed by mince pies. I'm diabetic, she is gluten intolerant, so that provides challenges in making stuff that we can both eat, and diabetic low-sugar mincemeat seems to be no longer available, so she made her own with mixed dried fruit, chopped ginger, chopped almonds, dried figs, dried dates, grated apple and a good glug of brandy, cooked it in a saucepan until the apple softened and the fruit absorbed the brandy. This was then put in gf almond pastry. Deelicious. We're not buying "shop" mincemeat ever again
JKD
Great 👍 That's unfortunate re your eating issues,,,, I'm really lucky, in that I can eat ANYTHING 😆 If it's agreeable to my palate of course 😁
amateur
I'm used to it after 62 years and my wife and I have been together for 50, so we have our diets fairly well organised and generally eat well.
