BobbyH
Hey all! A bit of a noodle scratcher this one…. I have a Lanber game model here, and it is quite difficult to open after it has been fired…. It needs a bit of force to open and eject the cartridges. Once it’s open and ejected, it’s easy to open. If I take the fore end off, it opens like butter…. When I say it’s difficult, I borrowed a B525 Sporter one at the start of the year for a few months, and when I went to open it after firing, it just basically fell open and ejected with ease….and was a delight to use…. Can my Lanber be adjusted somehow, or is it just some guns are easy, some need a bit more oomph? The internals are clean, and I clean the gun after every shot. Dougy
Is it the same if both barrels are dry fired ? Try top and then bottom, then both try and open each time. Im no gun smith but if its tight after firing cartridges could be pressure increase.
BobbyH
It does it when using snap caps, live rounds, dry fireing….. Could it be that the hammers are just hard to push back?
scarecrow243
if the lever is not in the centre when the gun is closed the action is still tight this happens when certain guns have not been used a lot or have been tightened
