samboy Posted Sunday at 21:24 Report Share Posted Sunday at 21:24 Hi gang. Had 2 rounds of Olympic skeet today. 1st round hit 9 2nd round hit 14. The sun was low and the wind was atrocious. We all shot like lemons but it was enjoyable and got us out of the house.

The key word is........"ENJOYABLE".......nice one.
BobbyH Posted Monday at 07:38 Report Share Posted Monday at 07:38 Exactly as above, getting out and shooting some carts is the name of the game! Even if I hit 2 out of 25….i would be happy as being behind the gun is always worth it!
RCB56 Posted Monday at 12:54 Report Share Posted Monday at 12:54 A hard day out shooting is a million times better than a easy day working.
Gordon R Posted Monday at 13:01 Report Share Posted Monday at 13:01 On holiday many years ago, I shot some skeet at Haverford West. Couple of rounds of skeet - 25 and 24. Then I shot the Olympic skeet - couple of 17s from memory. I struggled withe the speed and I was using a Remington 1100 28" trap gun - cylinder choked. I never used the Remington afterwards and got rid. It just felt too heavy to move swiftly, although I have since gone onto 32" trap over and unders. Years later, I bought a few more Remmys and my grandson uses one of mine, albeit a 26" 1/4 choked barrel.
