Bungle The Bear
I mainly shoot a browning crown 20 bore, for all my game shooting, but really dislike the factory fitted pad, I’m looking to see if anyone has the measurements of the older type hard black plastic pads, that were fitted to earlier brownings / miroku 20 bores (I understand these would fit) I’m especially looking for the thickness of the pad. This will be a stop gap till I get round to a permanent fix after the shooting season is over, and I can get rid of this horrible black rubber pad
Bobba
Been down this road. I’ve a Miroku MK60 20 bore. Original fit as you described for your browning. I had a gun fit specialist fit a Kick eez recoil pad. They come in various thicknesses. He made sure the angle at the upper end was cut to 45 degrees for ease of mount. When you say “stop gap” I’m not sure what you have in mind. I thought of a retro fit kick off system like Beretta but the gunsmith said the timber width of the MK 60 stock made this impossible
Bear68
Have a look at the Pachmayr Decelarator slip on pads, I've found them to be very good. Edited November 29 by Bear68
