JanAdy
Hi all Just joined this forum for the recipes really. I don't shoot (probably hit myself as much as a pigeon) I do enjoy eating game and M.O.H. goes hunting with his ferrets for rabbits (perhaps I should have joined a rabbit site). We breed pigeons for the table, though, along with the normal hens, ducks, geese and goats We moved to the centre of France from England 4years and 1 week ago and love it here. Cheers Jannie

JanAdy
Thanks everyone It's great to know that a "non shooter" is as welcome as a "trigger happy" (before anyone takes umbridge at the above comment - I've nothing against shooting - I'm just leathal - to myself. Haven't done any shooting since Hubby No 1died in 1991) Thanks again Jannie

JanAdy
NTTF M.O.H.(Arian) refused to marry me. Don't blame him, really. After killing off 2 hubbies he thinks h's safer staying "single" I'm always on the looke-out for new recipes, especially "game" ones. That's what attracted me to this site. Adrian hunts for rabbits, I breed pigeons & other fowl, there's ample game in this region. It's a rare month if someone local doesn't have at least part of a deer in the freezer. And now my neighbours tell me that Ragadon (Coypu) is tasty, ( )although I've not tried it myself.
new to the flock
Koypu is a South American relative to our Muskrats, and Beaver. I Have found muskrats and beavers both lend themselves very nicely to to beaver wellington and beaver stoganoff. Be sure to remove the oil and sent glands when perparing the carcus. If you are interested I can put a few recipes up for you . They dont call you the Black Widow by any chance do they NTTF

Vic
Where abouts in France? I'm pretty keen on my Plongee speliogic and the dordogne (my spelling is rubbish) is a pretty good area for it. All contacts in france are worth knowing.
