I note from a couple of other threads that there are a fair few guitarists here, some with nice axes. So folks, what guitars - or for that matter other insruments - have you got and what do you play on them?

I have:

1963 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120

Fender Telecaster 52 reissue

Epiphone Wildkat

Squier Bronco bass

Martin DM acoustic

Tanglewood parlour size acoustic

Weber Absaroka mandolin

Epiphone Valve Junior amp

I play rockabilly / country / bluegrass and a bit of blues.

Anyone else?

USA Fender Katana (not squire and with a Fender Floating Trem!)

USA Fender Telecaster Standard in Tobacco Burst (Fitted with a Kent Armstrong Hot Rail on the bridge and coil tap on pull out volume, boy she rocks!)

Jackson Stealth EX (When ya just need a little more oomph!)

JHS Gibson SG (Sounds very much like a vintage)

Marshall 4100 JCM 900 100 Watt Dual Reverb Head

Marshall 1940A 4x12 Angled Cabinet

Marshall JMP-1 Pre Amp

Alesis Quadraverb Effects

Korg DTR-1 Digital Tuner (Rack)

Yamaha MFC10 MIDI Pedal

Casio CTK-811ex Keyboard

I play mainly Blues/Rock/Heavy rhythm and a little lead mostly AC/DC and the usual suspects from Aerosmith though to ZZ Top. I also like enjoy writing my own material.

Spent many an hour sequencing MIDI on Cakewalks Sonar 2 where the files were used as a replacement drummer and or bass player at rehearsals, (you know how reliable they are. ) or for just plain practice.

I now spend a bit of time getting Fruity with Loops courtesy of a dear friend. Fruity Loops has rekindled my love affair with composing, sequencing and MIDI and opened my door to new genres of music from club to atmospheric.

Crafter CT120

T.F. Morideira 9 string acoustic

Clarissa - Adamas copy

An ancient Colombus solid maple precision bass

An even more ancient Avon SG bass

and...

my favourite....

A Fingerbone custom built 5 string fretless bass.

Mahogany body with bookmatched flamed olive ash top, birds eye maple neck with ebony fingerboard. Stereo split Kent Armstrong pickups and gold Schaller hardware. Connected by an XLR cable to a custom built 150w per channel stereo amp, left channel through a flight cased 18" Olympian powered bin, right channel through a 12" Fane powered mid range with a Fane piezo horn. Has a Boss SE-50 unit sitting in the effects loop. All getting on a bit now - like me - but I love it. It sounds pretty good too, on the days when I can still do my bit.
