Guest The Outlaw
As with all nations there are a minority that spoil things for the rest. My wife has been to America and has met people in thier own backyards, she said they were really nice and not in your face as we find with the tourists we get over here. Everything is so big over there though and you guys are lucky because you have huge guns and cars to play with. Some really nice countryside and some grear coastlines. Is it true that a high %age of Americans have never seen the ocean? Tony

Suffolk shooter
Having two airbases nearby hasn't helped your cause, but in my honest experience, when I went over to NYC, I found everybody to be pleasant, helpful, friendly, but then again I didn't see any white americans, they were either, Asian, Afro-american, hispanic or italian. Is that the norm in NYC?? From a work point of view, some cracking, buildings and architecture except for the Empire States building, what an overhyped building that was. Give me the Flat Iron or Chrysler building anyday. SS
dustyfox
The thing that puts me of USA is that you got a president that thinks he can be the worlds police. Yes you Americans will lead the way in the future of medicines and other technology. I know your president is trying to protect yourselves and I support the war in Afganistan but not Iraq. I think that you went into Iraq for the oil. And now we British are paying pounds for a gallan of petrol while your just paying pence per gallon. And another thing that gets on my nerves is every time I play online game with you Americans most of you's say we are weak and poor and you can beat us if we went to war against eachover and my reply was that if you put 100 of our soldiers against 100 of yours both with just rifles we will win with only a couple of lives lost and most of there replies was well we will nuke you because we more powerful. Now I like America I got family in New York going to see them soon hopefully but as said before you got a minority who puts a bad name towards you. The worst people to play online with are the French. I remember a while back I was playing team deathmatch on Call of Duty 2 with several of them. It was me, some guy from Ohio, and a Brit playing 4 Frenchies at 10 in the morning. They talked so much ****( in English and French), and we wiped the floor with them. It was great. jcbruno
i have been to the USA many times and i find the people in general very friendly, i do find in some cases a slight ignorance about things out side of there own country, and like the fella earlier stated about brit troops i can say the same for Canada our soldiers on average are better traind and more capable, having said that countrys like Canada,Australia, and the UK follow a simaler military tradition and have before and traditionaly do have to have a small elite corpes and be able to do a lot with not as much, and i supose that goes for other european armies, and to be fair to the yanks they have to maintain a large standing army with good equipment and there is no doubt the capabilty and power of the US military, and I agree with the other statement Bush has got to go, the war in Afghanastan is true, Iraq is BS, and i as a Canadian soldier am very happy Canada had the balls to say no to iraq, and my heart and respect goes out to all the American.British, and Australian forces in Iraq doing the best they can despite idiotic leadership, i support the troops not Iraq period. Cranfield
A lot of my best friends are American, Irish, French, Spanish, Russian, etc. There is good and bad people whereever you go and never confuse the politics of the Country with its people, they are two different things. al4x
Thats a bit harsh! Not if you have family in Iraq . and you think it should have been left as it was? All the fannying arround trying to minimise the number of troops there is the problem. We've made a half hearted effort and put everyone at risk the place is the size of France it needs a massive effort to sort it out. as for yanks well theres good and bad everywhere, Its nice unlike here that the country seems very proud of itself and what it stands for and will stand up to the rest of the world. Whatever anyone says about Bush the easy option would be to pull everyone out of Iran and Afghanistan and just let them get on with it. But that probably isn't in the interests of them or us. A Sick Old Man
I went to the States a few times in the seventies when I was a Stoker in the RN, I loved it and the people. Was lucky enough to do a **** Tanks Cruise from Mayport to Pensacola in a beat up Chevy estate, ( We had cartes stacked in the back ) saw the real Waltons land, a lot of country areas of America are surprisingly poor. But everyone we met was very generous, and very polite. No bloody bitter ale though, its all Lager

A Sick Old Man
Sounds a lot like the UK, more murders in London now than New York, violence against the person is higher in UK by far. And if you pop into my old local boozer in Millbrook Cornwall you will clearly see that Red Necks are alive and well here to, we are all much the same really
