Dave-G
I rarely see some of the farmers who let me shoot their land. Being nocturnal I have arranged with some of them that I don't disturb them late at night but park somewhere so that they can see I'm shooting if they hear anything. I generally come and go as I please. This "thank you" delivery is a bit of an annual ratifying round really. A Hamper goes to my "Base Permission" whose name, when dropped, got me other farms that get a bottle of single Malt. After leaving one of the farms I popped in to say hello somewhere else that I thought I'd lost due to a bit of family usurpation stuff going on - but the son had simply forgotten to contact me so I got that one back, had a spare bottle too. It's only a 100 acres or so but dead remote with some good back stops for zeroing and a bit of everything vermin wise with the odd munty that I'm thinking fleabag will get with his 223. Another one extended permision to a few more farms he manages. These extra places are only available after the pheasant season closes, but we get to let some of the other areas we're thinning out too much have a rest. Quite a satisfying day really. Shootingman
Paid our syndicate farms last week(12 farms-£4000), this week will have a run around my private permissions, a bottle of malt to each, what amazes me each year is how the private farmers show more appreciation over a bottle than the syndicate farms over the monies. Every year the private farms are pleased & saying thank-you, wishing us a merry xmas, the syndicate farms very rarely thank us, it's normally a comment like "see you next year"-" you are a little late this year" or "we may have to look at an increase next season"
Hunter
Id give anyone a bottle of wisky for some shooting land. Currently in my name I only have two plots of 30 acres. One of which I cannot use the centerfire on, and the other of which I cant shoot on for more then half the year oh and both are restricted to no weekend use. (blimming dog walkers)

Cant touch the Deer without the 6.5 which is a pitty. Il need to drive about, see if I cant find something nearby to shoot on.
