the usual- question about flocked decoys

I don,t think the heavy duty rubber type of decoy, "shine" when wet,

The old style, cheaper plastic types do, but I have still pulled pigeons using them when wet.

Don,t forget decoyers attracted pigeons, before flocked decoys were thought of.

The old "rule" of replacing decoys with shot birds, is still a good one. :)

Hi everyone,

I think its not really inportant with what decoys you use and would concentrate more on the pattern.

The thing I have noticed is that when mixing dead birds with decoys I've had lots of birds shy away, If I do put dead birds out I wait untill I have a fair few to replace them all.

Shooters used to use grey drain pipe in the past and still birds would come in, If you think about the makers of these things, they know there are only a set amount of pigeon shooters in the country and they will try to change them in hope that all the decoys they have sold you already will be replaced with their newer versions. They have to so they can stay in business.

Thats my thoughts on decoys but obviously everyone has different views on this subject.
