henry d
This is like any other community, someone started it up and formed the rules, then people were asked to enforce them. We cannot have a simple voting system on whether or not to ban someone and when the forum rules are broken repeatedly then action has to be taken, usually there is an informal warning and that is usually taken onboard by the person involved, if however the rules are repeatedly broken the member will be formally warned and if they again persist in disregarding the rules then they may be suspended so they might have time to mull things over. All the time the admin team are discussing the best way to solve the problem and sometimes it is very long and drawn out. If someone then carries on with their unacceptable behaviour then the time will come for them to be banned. I hope this helps clarify the process behind any kind of warning, suspension or ban and as for details I cannot divulge them as that is a private matter.
