They are not Crows but good shooting.

Incorrect.

They are all crows as crow is a species.

I assume you meant they are not all carrion crows, in which case you would have been correct.

Oh yeah, good shooting and was expecting to see a dog on the bonnet! :good:

No mate you are the one who is incorrect.

The family is the Corvid Family.

A Crow is short slang for Carrion Crow

A Jackdaw is called funnily enough a Jackdaw, A Magpie is a Magpie and a Rook is called a Rook etc etc.

Does that mean with your logic you can shoot Choughs and Ravens because they are Crows, if you are going to shoot at least buy a bird book.

Does the General Licence just say Crow to cover everything black with a beak :hmm:

"crows are large passerine birds that comprise the genus Corvus in the family Corvidae, ranging in size from the relatively small pigeon-sized jackdaws (Eurasian and Daurian) to the Common Raven" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crow

Rook - The Rook (Corvus frugilegus) is a member of the passerine order of birds and the crow family - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rook_%28bird%29

Jackdaw - See above

Magpie - Magpies are passerine birds of the crow family - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magpie

And I have a bird book thanks.

And regards to me shooting, I will rely on my FLO's opinion as to whether I am fit to or not.
