Darren,

I would suggest you train your dog to work to your commands, that way the distance will be irrelevent - it will work where you tell it to!

That way your dog would be able to be 'adjusted' to suit the circumstances of the situation :yp: :yp:

Darren good question.

I'm training my dog at the moment and soon I will be taking her to a beating line in the new year to get her, and me used to the situation.

Its something I was intereted in myself, but like millomite said I think 15 yards sounds good unless the cover determines more or less range.

Just out of interest, I have just got my dog to come and sit infront of me to the new gundog whistle I bought last week, yipeeeeee :yp:

I took her up the hills today and even when she is crashing through cover she responds in an instant and returns to me and sits her *** down, well pleased with her. :yp:

Happy shooting
