any info on old gunsmiths

Recommended Posts

Is there a website that I can fnd out about old gunmakers? In particular R Robinson of 7 Queen st Hull

Robert Robinson was in business at 36 Queens street, 1888-9. He then moved to Paragon St. in 1892, and then to 7 Queen St.

He traded as Robert Robinson (Gunmakers) from 1925. After the war they moved to 106 Boothferry rd. until 1950, when they moved to 265 Anlaby Rd. The firm apparently ceased to trade in 1955.

The address would date your gun at between 1892 to 1918.

I knew Bob300W would be along on a thread about old gunsmiths, seeing as though he is one. :P:good::good::yes:

Oi you, get back on the slug pellet thread, or else. You have already been threatened with being attacked by WMD's (Whinges of Mediocre Description) once today, don't make me angry, there are limits, I am dislexic therefore I can't ride a bike.
