robbsy
Hi folks Looking for a new bed for my cocker pup which needs to be washable, comfy, and chew resistant. I have seen a brand called kennelmate and would like to have some recommendations before purchase or what anybody on here uses. Thanks Kev
deeksofdoom
Use cow matting, my experience with dog beds have been that they are ripped to shreds in no time, this is what a cow matt looks like http://www.usagnet.com/loyal-roth/Cow_Mats.html Cheaper than a dog bed and virtually indestructible, or just about! Auto
I would definetly recommend "Tuffies" Bit dearer then normal but i can guarntee they are Labrador, Lurcher and Border terrier proof.
Troosers Too
Have to agree with Auto. Tuffies do seem to be GSP & spaniel proof. I like the sound of the cow mattress for the run, though. Deeks, which one do you use? TT
WGD
I've juts bought a kennelmate bed for our two, comparable in price to Tuffies (kennelmate did a size that suited me better than the Tuffies sizes), the quality is good and it does what it says on the tin BUT, if you know your dog is a chewer (there is a difference between a bed being chew resistant and able to withstand chewing from a determined dog) I would leave buying a more expensive bed like this until he/she is past chewing. Cushat
Also just got a kennelmate - good well made product, but we haven't got a chewer so don't know how well it would stand up to that! Tough old material though and well recommended. Blinking noisey thing though as the fabric is so tough.
Bango
Try 'countrywide stores' they have a great range of beds that are washable and last
