Spaniel
Im going to ask the question...why would you buy a Bitch and then ask if you could stop her from coming into season...why not just buy a dog in the first place? My 1st Springer came into season at approx 12 months, but i think they are all different to be honest. Cheers ian

Anything from 8-12 months, and yes you can get an injection done but it heightens the risk of Pyometra,(infection of the uterus), which is nasty but quite common in unspade bitches later in life. One of mine nearly died with this so beware.

I have a 9 month ESS who still hasn't come into season, your a long way off it yet. Don't bother with the injection it can have adverse effects. As for spaying don't bother with that for the time being either. She's to young yet and I'ld only get it for her if she was getting phantom pregnancys etc... Mrs Sweepy will be able to tell you all about that. If she's not going to be in contact with any male dogs there is no need for spaying or an injection.
