tiercel Posted November 30, 2008 Report Share Posted November 30, 2008 Was doing well till the myxie hit about 3 weeks ago. Had 9 ferreting to long nets 3 weeks ago, then 2 weeks ago only had 2 out of 3 nights long netting. Went to my permission last week and hardly a rabbit there found 3 dead with myxie. So that looks like the end of my rabbiting this year. I have never known the myxie to hit so late in the year, it normally hits end of August beginning of September. It also looks as if it is a new strain as the number of rabbits it has killed off is a lot higher than in previous years.
