Atom
Hey, ive read these forums for a few months now, but ive only just signed up. wanted to just have a moan about falcon... I bought my prairie in august i believe to find air was leaking, sent back to falcon. recieved back about 2 weeks later. All seemed fine, then i noticed a large scratch under the cylinder, sent it back again. On return i noticed a large dent on the end of the clyllinder, send back AGAIN for them to have a moan at me over the phone saying im just try to pick faults. I couldnt believe this so i got it back this time and all "seemed" ok. till i aquired a chronograph to find it doing 8 ftlb. I couldnt be ***** sending it back again id had enough. so i striped it down to find the spring was the exact same spring i have in my prechage 177 pistol!! I routed through a box of springs and found one slightly larger put it in then the gun was doing 22 ftlb!! i had to cut it down drastically to get it to bang on 12ftlb (about 1 in 20 shots may go slightly over 12ftlb) while it was apart i took every thing out, changed all the grease and oils to different stuff. and now this gun runs more beutifully than any other gun ive ever fired (on a par with a friends rapid IMO). Anyway just felt like a rant for my first post =]
Wookie
don't worry about ranting! It happens all the time! I've got an FN12 Raptor Light Hunter and for a while I have had the notion that it's shooting less that 12 ft/lbs, I just lack the time to take it apart myself! As for the service at Falcon, I've not had to deal with them yet, but I know my mate had to wait an age for his new silencer to turn up from them. I might be calling on you to find out how you stripped your rifle down... Be warned! Wookie
rarms
I take it you are aware that there is an adjustment screw at rear of the action to adjust the power output.
Vulcha
I take it you are aware that there is an adjustment screw at rear of the action to adjust the power output. I was about to mention that!
Atom
i had screwed the back in as far as it would go and would only goto just under 11ftlb, if i screwed it in any more it wouldnt cock, therefore i needed a stronger spring
