these but in size 12, i wont be jumping in puddles with these on but i'll wear them with good socks, will they do the job for hunting as an alternative to my trainers that will get ruined, i sometimes do a bit of crawling and scuffle my way through the dirt as the land where i shoot has like a row of trenches in it, for pheasent for the farmer or something, anyway wont be getting too wet, got to be a bit rugged, dont want something that will feel like im wearin cloggs,

you opinions plz :P

if you have any others you know of that are 'budget' boots and you think they are better for the money plz let me know before i buy them

budget: £20 - £30 (lower the better)

P.S. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...286954&tc=photo what would be better this or a black lined cheap bag with some netting on it? :/

Thanks.

Yup, Magnums. I’ve got a pair, and they are great for normal wear as they are very light. The only down side is that they let any wetness in through the webbing part of the boot.

Walking through wet grass will mean wet feet after only a couple of hundred yards or so. But in very short stuff you will find them to be pretty good.

Watch what you pay for them on ebay, as you could end up paying more that you would from a normal outlet (besides ebay are now refusing to allow shooting related goods such as reloading gear or gunslips etc, so I won’t be using it any more)

That is the New (ish) army issue boots for cold weather. They are Goretex with a Vibram sole and sweat wicking insole. They seam pretty good and dont take much breaking in but the still offer lots of support.

The old Army Pro Boot is a good bit of kit, it is baisicly just a copy of the Danner or Materhorn.

Army assault boots are nothing special but are verry comfartable and reasonably hard wearing. They all tend to be waterproof to the top of the tongue if you look after them correctly.
