Roosting pigeons

The coat hanger types are fine, if there is no wind.

Having to lug the lofting poles around, with the other gear can be a bind.

Also, the cost of lightweight aluminium lofting poles is quite expensive, wheras heavy mono fishing line is cheap.

Good point mate, me and my mate tend to just climb the tree. Dangerous in some of the winds we have, but seems so work

will try it with a line I use for carp fishing, preparing the pigeons is very easy.

I put a metal pin of 10" trough the pigeon (from *** to the head) and place it in a hole i made in the wood, the feet of the pigeon I connect with a staple machine.

The pigeon I preserve with injecting formoldehyde.

Gents,

Formaldehyde..I once had to remediate a 27 tonne tanker load in a running ditch ...my how we laughed.

Short term exposure to formaldehyde irritates the eyes causing pain, redness, blurred vision and severe eye watering.

Can irritate the nose and throat causing sneezing, soreness, coughing, shortness of breath, headaches and nausea. In severe cases of exposure to elevated levels it can lead to accumulation of fluid in the lung.

Long term exposure causes chronically impaired lung function, skin hardening, swelling and flaking, dermatitis, allergic eczema, and cancer.

Formaldehyde is a skin and respiratory sensitiser. It is a sensitising agent which can stimulate the body's immune response so that a subsequent exposure to even a very small amount is likely to trigger an allergic response.

It has also been shown to cause sleep disturbance, impaired memory, reduced concentration, nausea and menstrual irregularity.

I can only suppose that some folks in the "Picture" forum have OD'd!!!

Eug.
