jon0881
Hi, My dog was out with me today and i looks like she has been caught on some loose barbed wire. She has a cut that looks like she has been skinned about 2cm. I was thinking i should clean it up with some water and put on some sudocrem on it. She cant lick it in the position it is. The cut is just the skin, not into the flesh so she is not bleeding. Does anyone else have any other advice? Regards Jon
pair away
hope she is ok , when this happened to my bitch i bathed it ( the cut ) twice a day in warm salt water after a few days it looked alot better , keep a close eye on it and if it looks as though its going bad get her straight to the vets . im sure she will be ok. jon0881
Yeah i think she will be fine. Its a pretty nasty tear like but ive washed it twice in savlon/water solution and will keep an eye on it. Its a good thing she is knackered so she isnt bouncing about. libs
Hibiscrub will do a good job of cleaning it up! But take her to the vets if it starts to bother her alot, could be infected and its best to catch it early.
