Hi guys.

I've managed to blag a go with a pair of nightvision bino's tonight.  I'm taking them with me to try and sort out a fox that's attacking new lambs.

Ha! Charlie cannot escape from me now.  There's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide!!

Sorry - getting a bit carried away there.  I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi guys.

Tried out the nightvision bino's last night - found them a wee bit disappointing!  Image was pretty grainy, but movement showed up well - managed to spot Charlie as he skulked across a field about 200yds away.  Finished stalking him with the lamp, and got him with a headshot from the .22 at about 75yds.

I definitely would not spend the money on nightvision bino's - I don't think the benefits outweigh the cost.  I'll stick with my £14.99 hand-held lamp!!

Hi Lazza.

I think the guy told me he had paid about £400 for the bino's - a bit too dear for me I'm afraid!  I think I seen a nightvision monocular in the Deben catalogue for £169 or so, if you're thinking about it.

How did it go with the dimmer switch by the way?

Hi Steve, interested to see your opinion on the night vision gear.My findings have been much the same, except for one product, which is the kitesite available from 'foxshot' .This one works really well, though the reticle on the riflescope is a bit imprecise.Only downside is the £4,500 price tag.Needless to say,I have'nt bought one.....! :0
