Bionicle now owns my old .243 fox buster, which I have replaced with a Sako 591 in .22-250. This old-school rifle is complemented by an ASE CQB mod and an S&B 2.5-10x56 scope. I'm using 55gr V-Max as fast as they can be pushed.

I much prefer my hand-held Lightforce 170s over the scope-mounted one, for solo foxing work.

How do you manage to hold the hand-held lamp and keep it in the right spot while aiming the rifle?? :) I tried it once and found it VERY awkward!

Simple: I'm left-handed, shooting from the driver's seat in a Defender/Discovery. The rifle rests on the padded wing-mirror or door-bag. The lamp is held in my right hand. With practice, it's become natural, but positioning the vehicle correctly is the crucial part. Then it's a case of beam on, lamp down, BANG.

Now the mornings are getting lighter, I'll be using the high seats more regularly.
