I have just bought a Frontera with a mate. I have 6 pointsand his missus has kept all the local bodyworks in business over the last few years and a limited mileage policy was only £200.00. Try Adrian Flux mate ! :good:

I had a look at the insurance on a jeep 2.5.

The cheapest i got was £3800-00 for fully comp, i thought **** that, then just tried for 3rd party only and the cheapest was £4650-00, **** me, the jeep is not even worth half that.

Must be because i am 23, but **** that, that is just taking the ****!!!!

You should try change your insurer every year as a lot of companies give you a very tempting offer the first year and put you on an "auto-renew" policy-they then hike the premium the second year in the hope that you wont bother looking around or you wont be quick enough to stop the renewal-you nomally get about 25 days to play with.I pay just over £200 for a 4ltr grand cherokee-comprehensive with 2years ncb.

is it true that you can get really cheap insurance on a 4x4 even first time around? (17 Yo)

if so, what sort of 4x4?

Cheers,

Toby

Im 23 with 2 years no claims and I got a quote from Sureterm who specialise in 4x4. It was a good quote as well £220 fully comp comapred to my next cheapest which was £500, but they phoned me up a couple of days later after i paid the money and asked me a load of questions, then said that they couldnt offer me it and they then quoted me again with them and they said £950, I said no way I want my money back in which they did give me.

Now with Directline £500 for a Suzuki Jimny.

Your under 25 so dont get to hopeful.
