Learn to weld - find a pal with a welder - and you MOT costs will drop - landrover bit cost buttons.

Being able to weld is a core skill of the landrover owner.

Thats why 85% of all landrovers built are still in use

hope you get your work done and landy fights to live anover day!

When u gona fix my welder then! <_<

I have two landys, a freelander and 110. Had most types of car from extreme performance to luxury, but always end up back with a landy. I guess i will always have one. Wife has an economic, efficient and dull japanese 4x4. In the past i have had these but they are just transport, like a bus.

A landy is transport, a hobby in its own right, and a strange obsession.

i have had the chassis waxoiled so its pretty tidy, one small bit of welding needed to one of the outriggers

the work is a bit more mechanical so to speak, brake hoses, new discs and pads, prop shaft bearings, uj, new bushes to stop the thing wandering around the road like the driver has had 10 pints........................as for living another day it just means i need to sell something to pay for it !!!!!

Why, if the embarrassingly weedy and naff Jap 4x4s are allegedly so superior, do the people who work the land and defend the nation not use them exclusively? Most farmers (me included), the MoD, the Forestry Commission, the utility firms etc, all use Landies. Because they go further and pull more than any Jap 4x4.

The only concessions I'd make are the Unimog, the G-Wagen and the Panda. We now have one of each on the farm, and the Panda is a great rabbiting vehicle over stubbles.

We had our new off-roader delivered yesterday. One of these puppies: 570hp on tap Beat that, Nissuzumitsu-driving people.

fc have been using hiluxs as part of there fleet for years, british forces use land rover because they are obliged to buy british more and more farmers have gone jap because for everyday hacks thay are cheaper and more comftable/reliable to run .defender 90 is the best for extreme off roading but for every day there are better options out there you would have to be pretty blinkered not to realise that.
