Cranfield Posted February 23, 2003 Report Share Posted February 23, 2003 I know some of the members here, cut off pigeons wings and fix them to their decoys, with elastic bands. I certainly haven,t the patience, to glue individual feathers on. That would also make them extremely vunerable, when being transported. daviddjlloyd Posted March 4, 2003 Report Share Posted March 4, 2003 Hi Rob ,I have just taken the pigeons wings off my deeks and re-painted them. I am a great believer in getting as natural looking decoy as possible. What I do is cut the wings off a pigeon and glue them onto my plastics with either a bostic glue or a latex glue. I was shooting over rape one time and they were coming in a treat, when a fellow shooter turned up in the next field . What happend next was that the flight line changed and the birds peeled off straight into his pattern. The only conclusion I could come to was that he was either using dead birds or ones with feathers on.
