I cut them in half, then wil pillers fold up the edges to make the sliding part on a snar, by twisting stripped electical wire around it and then put the other end through the center. Saves on money and i have caught many rabbits with them

I have started to build up a tidy collection of empty .22rf cases and I havnt got a clue what to do with them. Since they cant be reloaded what do you lot do?

Wait till you get a ton then sell them to the scrappy?

I beg to differ

they can be reloaded

in a SHTF suitation though

you can buy a reloading kit from the states bit tedious mind you

Your not going to load a brick of ammo in a hurry mind you but the concept does work though

a 1 lb of unique would load thousands of the ******* lol.

I don't mean to be impertinent, but did you order all posts by date ascending and then start at the top or something?

17 years is the current starting point!

I think it was good waiting to reply. As by now with two decades worth of fired rimfire cases the OP will be able to use them to make enough "rimfire jacketed" .224" bullets to solve the UK and EU ammunition components shortage single handed!

I hear what you are saying RyanMc, but don't think your average scrappy is too concerned about H+S.

I remember reading somewhere if a live round were to go off in someone's pocket it would only fizz and phut. Think it was Archie Coats when someone pointed out to him about putting his glowing pipe in the same pocket as live rounds.

Yes they can, but it is very laborious and I have never heard of anyone getting any consistency, or indeed any decent power from them!

Even with rimfire prices today, that is the route to take!
