Lab Colouration

My mate has just called me his Choc Lab Bitch has had a nice litter of nine pups 6 yellow and three Chocolate. What I can't understand is the Sire was Choc as was both his parents and mates bitch's sire was Choc with Yellow mother. I was expecting the bias to be stronger on the Choclate side. Is this unusual or isn't it that simple?

Anyway all are healthy!

Its all in the jeans (in my case) or genes in the dogs!

Just as two white parents can throw up a black child and vies versa,

Mind you if my Mrs pavman announced she was about to deliver a little off-white number, I would take some convincing it was due to a relative a generation or so back! :):shoot::shoot:

Seriously though some clever spark is about to explain the whole thing, but I don’t think we are a million miles away with the gene theory.
