Hi all,

Following on from my post a few days ago asking for tuition help in the North West I had a lesson with Beretta (Brian) on Wednesday at Catton Hall and came away a happy shooter.

Brian was very patient and explained the basics really well despite my poor shooting, I know he usually does more advanced shooters but as a novice I found him to be excellent. I started shooting around 10.30a.m and had 3 hours or so with him explaining the basics and particularly working on lead which for me was my biggest problem. I came away with plenty of ideas to work and improve on and my intention is a few weeks of practise and then a follow up lesson with Brian.

Catton Hall was also excellent, lovely surroundings and a nice sunny day...well worth a day out.

For anyone in the North thinking of a lesson he would be well worth a shout.

Cheers all.

A true gent is Brian :good: Chard taught him all he No's

I know that's true 'cos I sneaked up on them later that afternoon at Catton, they were at the driven stand (high fast driven on your right off a cherry picker on top of a bank)

"Where do you think I should pick this one up Chard?, am I too square on Chard?, should I try and shoot it a little bit quicker Chard?, do you think I should buy a Miroku Chard?"

Honestly that Chard is the man  , if he carries on at that rate he'll coach beretta into the England Team. I asked him if he would give me a few pointers but he just gave me a knowing litttle smile  and said he only took on the most deserving of cases.

I had to give it to him straight in the end Mr P.

That's all very well, but was he wearing baggy flared outrageous check trousers..?? :good:

Cat.

Cat, I really wish you hadn't mentioned the trousers. I REMEMBER THEM and wish I didn't, in fact my trick cyclist said they could have been responsible for those "little accidents" I used to have. I just pray to God that the nightmares don't start again!:yes::hmm::hmm:

But never mind my sanity for the sake of the forum which is enjoyed by all these thousands of (mainly) good people Don't Publish The interweb police will shut this site down quicker than an MP claiming expenses. Can you imagine the effect those pictures would have if ladies or little children caught a glimpse there would be hysteria and probably deaths. Oh no, you must do your duty Cat and destroy the negatives, publish and it could see the end of the World Wide Web.

Mr P

PS I'm going to take my specs off for a few days - just in case!!!!
