hello folks

a bloke i know phoned me the other night and asked me if i knew anyone who wanted to buy his lamber o/u 12,when i asked him if it was a sporter or a game gun he said he did,nt know and asked how he could tell.I am not fimiliar with lambers so could not really answer, he lives too far away for me to be able to see the gun is there anything obvious i can tell him to look for?all he knows is that it is single selective trigger, fixed choke 1/4& 1/2 and has 28" barrels.

thanks for any suggestions

The Lanber sporter has multi chokes and the field gun fixed chokes. The side plates of the sporter are nickel finish and the field gun blued. The field gun has an automatic safety catch (goes to safe when the gun is broken and closed) and the sporter does not.

Hope this helps.

I have one of each, both multichokes :ernyha: Game gun has game scene engraved sporter standard. Email GMK with serial number & if not to old they will tell you. In my opinion you could use either gun for sporting or game without too much of a handicap :lol: B)
